Rudy Giuliani Can't Stop with the Interview Gaffes

Lawyer Rudy Giuliani

Giuliani said Trump's team wants an interview basically limited to questions involving alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation in the 2016 election, arguing that no "legal basis" exists for Trump to be questioned about obstruction. In a confidential January 29 letter to the special counsel leaked to the New York Times in June, two of Trump's attorneys say that the President knew only that Flynn had been interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. "The President didn't hack", Giuliani told CNN.

"Every good attorney traditionally wants to make sure that their client doesn't make any statements that could come back to cause them some kind of pain in the future", he said, "and that is what his legal team is, I think, recommending, is that the President doesn't sit down". "Collusion is not a crime". Mueller has already accused Trump's former campaign chairman and another top aide of working as foreign agents for Ukrainian interests and funneling millions of dollars from the work into offshore accounts used to fund lavish lifestyles.

The New York Times, in a January article detailing an attempt by Trump to fire Mueller previous year that the President ultimately backed off from, said Trump claimed one of Mueller's conflicts stemmed from a dispute over fees at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.

If it turns out that Trump did know in advance about the Russian Federation meeting and has been lying about it all along - a possibility whose odds I'd put at about 95 per cent, but you may feel differently - he won't go to jail for it, but it should certainly be taken into account when we're considering whether Trump should be re-elected and/or whether he should be impeached. What you're saying now is that there was another meeting that was leaked that has not been made public, and I would assume until now really described by you, Rudy Giuliani, in detail, that happened three days prior that had Don, Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, Gates, and possibly two others.

"I've been sitting here looking in the federal code trying to find collusion as a crime", the attorney and former New York City mayor told Fox & Friends. Congressional investigators and Mueller's team have scoured documents and interviewed witnesses in an effort to validate the claims of the president's son.

States sue Trump administration, company over 3D-printed guns
He sued, and the group agreed to block IP addresses identified as being in Pennsylvania until a formal court hearing. In 2013 the State Department forced Wilson's Defense Distributed to quit sharing 3-D print files online.

Giuliani said he had no firsthand knowledge of Mueller's plans, but he expected the special counsel to file something by September 1, two months before the midterm elections. It's the first trial stemming from Mueller's special investigation.

And given that, Giuliani went on to say, then it doesn't matter if Trump or members of his presidential campaign actually "colluded" with Russians to interfere in the 2016 election. And I have said that over and over again - collusion is not a crime'.

That's the meeting Cohen was referring to, Giuliani suggested, adding that he was coming out with this information to "get ahead" of a story that was about to be published.

Trump unleashed a new broadside against Mueller and his investigation late Sunday, accusing the prosecutor of undisclosed "conflicts of interest" involving him, "including the fact that we had a very nasty & contentious business relationship". Trump added that it "doesn't matter", because his campaign had not colluded with Russian Federation.
