The special units feature a fan-pleasing translucent shell (in dark blue), a bigger than usual 2TB hard drive, a PlayStation camera, vertical stand and a mono headset.

However, if you already own a PS4 Pro and you just want the controller, you're in luck. The company is selling a limited edition Gold Wireless Headset to go with the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro separately as well.

The original PlayStation console first launched in 1994 and since then Sony has sold a staggering 525.3 million consoles, including the PlayStations 2 to 4 and the PSP and PS Vita portables.

Check with your local retailers to see if they will carry the system. The 500 Million Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset will appear in North America in early September 2018 and in Europe on October 11, 2018.
