Mesut Ozil's future in doubt after screaming at Unai Emery

Manuel Pellegrini is looking for his first point as West Ham manager after two defeats in a row

Arsenal hosts London rival West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday coming off a pair of season-opening losses to start life under Unai Emery.

But, at a post-match press conference (via Chris Wheatley, Goal), Emery has cleared the issue up, claiming he was left out of the squad through illness.

Speaking after the game, Emery insisted reports of a bust up were untrue, saying: 'It isn't true, that information.

"So now we won against West Ham and maybe we showed people who didn't believe in us that we will be there this season and you have to count on us until the end of the season".

Goal understands the former Germany worldwide was sent home ill by the club's medical staff after missing three days of training due to flu.

Misery for Mourinho as uninspired Man United lose at Brighton
Mourinho then threw on Marouane Fellaini in place of Anthony Martial on the hour, but still United continued in listless fashion. The 29-year-old was missing for Sunday's game due to injury and could well be out for United's clash with Spurs next Monday too.

Arsenal lost its first two matches this season, albeit to tough opponents Manchester City and Chelsea, and questions were already being asked if the new manager was good enough to motivate his players.

"No problem with the player".

And on whether he would have played if he was not sick: "He was sick and today, he was sick". It was for that I am happy but there are things we must improve. Before the match he was with the team and with me.

"We are very unlucky to concede that own goal that put Arsenal on top".

The reporter, Joao Castelo-Branco, who works for ESPN Brazil, said that "Ozil had an argument with coach Emery at practice this week, came out screaming and is out of the team today". Of course, we need to add points but in each game we have improved a little bit more. That "balance" Emery has talked about following all of his Premier League games in charge of Arsenal so far may take a long time to arrive.
