Aaron Rogers, Packers agree to 4-year, $134M deal

Report: Rodgers, Packers reach record deal

Rodgers, a two-time NFL Most Valuable Player, unseats Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan atop the list of the league's highest-paid players. Now, he's being paid the most.

According to NFL Network, Rodgers has agreed to four-year, $134 million contract extension which includes more than $100 million guaranteed.

The deal also calls for Rodgers to receive $80 million of that guaranteed money by March.

Rodgers has broken his collarbone twice in the past five years, and has missed a total of 16 regular season games as a result.

The deal means Rodgers will likely finish his career in Green Bay. The bulk of that is a $57.5 million signing bonus. James Jones, an NFL Network analyst and former teammate of Rodgers', first reported the news. He will turn 40 in December of that year. He had two seasons left on that contract and was scheduled to make $20.9 million this season and $21.1 million in 2019.

If there's one thing to learn from this picture, it's that the denim industry will never die as long as Aaron Rodgers is around.

Rodgers is healthy again after being limited to seven games previous year because of a right collarbone injury. I've grown up in this place, and grown older and a little wiser along the way.

Drafted in the first round by the Packers in the 2005 draft after falling to the 24th overall pick, Rodgers eventually succeeded Brett Favre as starter to give the franchise an unprecedented run of top-notch quarterback play. He posted a 4-3 record with 16 touchdowns to six interceptions and a 97.2 passer rating.
