Mac Miller and Ariana Grande.

Mac Miller performs on Camp Stage during day 1 of Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival 2017 at Exposition Park on October 28, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

Miller was involved in a hit-and-run crash in May when his vehicle hit a utility pole.

Ariana had contacted Mac to tell him to look after himself after he was last involved with the police following his drink driving incident. Ariana is now engaged to actor and comedian Pete Davidson. Shortly after his vehicle accident and arrest that same month, Grande tweeted "pls take care of yourself".

Grande had previously been targeted by online bullies who blamed Miller's recent legal troubles on their breakup.

"A lot of the reviews were more on me as a person", he told Complex.

Despite his personal struggles, less than 24 hours before his death, Miller had shared his excitement about his upcoming concerts in a Twitter post to fans.

Miller's rap career started when he was just 14 years old.

The four-piece band that accompanies him on the song brings a jazzier groove than the album version, which was produced by the rapper with Jon Brion and Blood Orange founder Dev Hynes. The show is going to be special every night.

He went on to release four more studio albums: 2013's Watching Movies with the Sound Off, 2015's GO:OD AM, 2016's The Divine Feminine and 2018's Swimming.
