So players will probably see the new Fortnite update pop up before 1pm today in the UK. Even if you've played Fortnite since it initially released, there are still likely going to be one or two things that trip you up or you're just unsure of. Pets can now be unlocked through the Battle Pass and allow you to bring a cute and small friend into the battlefield.

The Shadow Stones were a unique item birthed from that mysterious cube - dubbed "Kevin" by the internet - that left a burning path of runes in its wake before changing Loot Lake forever. So, what's new in the Battle Pass for season 6?

Once again, the most significant changes in Battle Royale are to the map. And with Halloween approaching, it's only fitting that we now have a Haunted Castle overlooking Haunted Hills. You can get dogs, dragons, and other pets that stay with you as a backbling.

And then there's the new Shadow Stones - they are scattered throughout the map, letting you go completely invisible. Each pet is available in a variety of different color schemes, and if you want them all, you'll need to work your way all the way up to Battle Pass tier 98, which isn't exactly an easy feat.

You won't be able to use weapons after consuming a Shadow Stone, which lasts for around 45 seconds. Sony has rolled out a beta to enable cross-platform play on the PlayStation 4 for Fortnite.
