Google to bring Pixel 3 smartphones to Singapore in November

Google Pixel Slate Pen

No light; no problem: Pixel 3 lets you take natural-looking photos in dark surroundings, all without a flash.

The 5.5-inch Pixel 3 will be priced from S$1,249 while the larger 6.3-inch Pixel 3 XL will be priced from S$1,399.

Google showed off a pair of new Pixel phones, a tablet computer and a speaker with a screen in a deluge of new products aimed at competing with the latest gadgets from big technology rivals. They are set to be launched on November 1. However, Google Pixel Slate will go on sale later this year in US, UK and Canada. We can't wait to see how it measures up against other cameras and as a standalone phone camera.

Google unveiled a new series of devices at an event New York City Tuesday, including the widely reported next generation of the Pixel smartphone, as well as a smart home hub and a new tablet. It's the first time the Alphabet Inc. subsidiary has embraced the format that Samsung has had for a few years and Apple adopted last year. The new phones' camera can also be used to search for items online by simply taking a picture of them. The camera automatically takes about three seconds of shots, at lower resolution, and will recommend an alternative. They're not uncommon, with many modern handsets sporting one. With Chromecast 2 available for Rs 1,999, there is a fair possibility that the new Chromecast will become available sooner than later. Google Duplex, the AI feature that can make calls to restaurants and hair salons for you, launches next month. It's essentially a speaker with a 7-inch tablet screen on the front that runs a variant of the Google Assistant Smart Display software launched earlier this year. From there you can either answer the phone or mark the call as spam.

Google's free Android software operates most of the world's smartphones.

Of course, you're here for the Pixel 3. Google seems to recognize this, as it introduced gesture-based navigation in Android 9.0 Pie as an alternative to the traditional navbar. "It's mostly about convenience here". Our initial impression is that Google has made a sleek and stylish phone whose USP is the camera. Apple alone sold 388 million iPhones during the same period.

Ambassador to the United Nations in a surprising move that will stir speculation about the popular Republican's future. Ryan called her a "clear, consistent and powerful voice for America's interests".

Like the current Google Home devices, it has multiple user recognition so can determine whether it's you or your significant other that wants to create a calendar reminder and saves it accordingly. Google declined to address that further Tuesday, though executives emphasized privacy and security throughout the event in NY. Talking about the offers, the Pixel 3 buyers can get an instant discount of Rs. 5000 while purchasing through HDFC Bank Debit, Credit cards, and Netbanking. Like other Google Home devices, you can shout "Hey Google" to wake it up. You may get phone calls from the Google Assistant and if so, just talk to it like you would talk to a person.

However while the Portal is designed primarily for making video calls over Facebook Messenger, Google's device does not feature a camera at all.

Again, Google is attacking its rivals on price.

Preorders for both smartphones began Tuesday, but both will officially launch October 18.

David Ruddock, the managing editor of Android Police, recently tweeted and insisted Google has a Pixel Slate tablet in the works.
