Samsung's mobile boss confirms new details for the long-awaited foldable Galaxy F

Samsung's Foldable Smartphone Will Be a Tablet That Can Be Folded Into a Phone Confirms CEO DJ Koh

Since then, in a CNET interview, Koh underlined the incredible evolution that innovation has undergone: the phone they hope to launch soon, maybe called the Galaxy F, will unfold into a tablet.

If Samsung can be believed, the Galaxy A9 is capable of taking better photos than the Galaxy S9 - which is curious given the former is a mid-range phone priced under $700 and the latter is a 2018 flagship. The patent shows a device like a tablet which has a hinge in the middle so can be folded in half.

The big release in 2019 for Samsung will remain the Samsung Galaxy S10, as we expected - but there's something else going on. It includes 6GB to 8GB of RAM and 128Gb of built-in storage which you can expand all the way to 512GB via microSD card.

Galaxy A9 is equipped with a Super AMOLED screen diagonal of 6.3 inches resolution HD+.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 is now exclusive to the Asian market. "I'm positive that we do need a foldable phone".

Asides from the camera setup, the Galaxy A9 also comes with some pretty wonderful features and specifications, one of which is the presence of up to 8GB of RAM. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 chipset, having four cores clocked at 2.2GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8GHz.

However, it looks like we will wait a bit before watching it for the first time. The phone has a 3800mAh battery with support for fast charging via the USB Type-C port.

The focus on the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is squarely on cameras.

Koh has previously suggested that the handset could be unveiled at Samsung's developer conference where he will be delivering the opening keynote on November 7th. While Samsung still hasn't come up with an exact date for the unveiling yet, they have hinted that this bendable smartphone will be meaningful. Samsung has customised the UI heavily and it is slightly different than stock Android.

Samsung has priced the Galaxy at Euro 599 (which is roughly Rs. 51,300) and GBP 549 (roughly Rs. 53,700). The launch event took place in Kuala Lumpur.

LG Electronics Inc., Samsung's smaller South Korean rival, also introduced the V40 ThinQ smartphone earlier this month with three rear cameras. In low-light conditions, the phone's main camera combines 4 pixels into one using pixel binning.
