Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande may have called off their engagement according to new reports

TMZ first reported that the 25-year-old pop star and the 24-year-old Saturday Night Live star called it quits over the weekend.

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have broken up this weekend, according to TMZ.

TMZ's sources say they both love each other, but have chose to end the romantic part of their relationship.

While another source told People magazine that the breakup was a long time coming. "It's not shocking to anyone".

This news comes shortly after Grande's team announced the singer would be taking time away from the public eye after an especially hard year and the sudden death of her ex, Mac Miller, last month. I just don't wanna be on Instagram anymore, or on any social media platform.

However, rumours started flying that all wasn't well between the couple earlier this month after Pete was spotted with a cover-up over his tattoo of the Ariana bunny mask on his neck.

TMZ reports Grande's engagement ring cost right around $100k.

In the wake of the pair's split, Davidson deleted his social media accounts, and neither he or Grande have released a statement at this time.

Davidson appeared on "SNL" Saturday night, and the two were seen together as recently as last week.

In September, the couple announced they would be taking some time away from the spotlight.

From getting tattoos dedicated to each other, to adopting a pet pig - Davidson and Grande seemed like they were all in.

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are over.

In that third segment, Davidson actually joked about the pair's possible split, saying: 'You know, I don't even get royalties for that Pete Davidson song?

"Ariana dumped Pete. They'd been rowing for two weeks about Pete's lack of support after Mac's death", they said.

Referencing her "tough month", Grande thanked her fans for their support.
