No victor in Saturday's Powerball drawing; jackpot now worth $620 million

The Mega Millions' odds were lowered a year ago to 1-in-303 million from 1-in-259 million, to generate larger prizes.

The all-time largest lottery win was on January 13, 2016, when three tickets shared $1.586 billion in a Powerball drawing, CNBC reported.

In the Powerball, the victor can also opt for a cash prize of more than $354 million. Mega Millions is now offering a potential prize of $1.6 billion.

The next drawing is on Tuesday.

Its jackpot rose on Friday to £360 million ($470m) from £329 million ($430m), with a lump sum value of £205 million ($268.6m). United Kingdom players can win a separate prize by betting on the numbers.

In 2016, a $1.58 billion Powerball prize was split three ways by ticket holders from California, Florida and Tennessee.

The previous largest single jackpot of $758.7 million was won last year by Mavis Wanczyk, a 53-year-old mother of two from MA.

The next Powerball drawing is at 11 p.m. EST Wednesday.

The next Mega Millions draw will be on Tuesday, after no one hit all of the numbers of 15, 23, 53, 65, 70 and the Mega Ball 7 during Friday night's draw.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The numbers to look for on the winning ticket are 16, 54, 57, 62, 69. The chance of matching all six numbers and taking home the grand prize is one in 302.5 million. CA did sell a 5/6 prize worth $1.9 million. But because the player added the Power Play for an extra $1, the prize is $2 million.
