More than 75,000 expected for sold-out President Donald Trump rally with GOP Sen Ted Cruz in Houston

President Trump and Sen.

Before introducing Trump - who frequently referred to the senator as "Lyin' Ted" during the 2016 campaign - Cruz made it clear the two no longer have bad blood and predicted that "in 2020 Donald Trump will be overwhelming re-elected".

While Trump will promote Cruz and other Texas Republicans, Texas will also provide a backdrop for the president's invigorated immigration rhetoric.

"Ted and I get along very well, very late into the campaign".

The Houston Police Department will be "fully mobilized" for the downtown rally, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Temple opens amid violent protests; Section 144 to be imposed
The Sabarimala temple doors would be closed on October 22 after the five-day monthly prayer during the Malayalam month of Thulam. The Shiv Sena recently warned of "mass suicides " if women of menstrual age were allowed into the temple.

Closing in on Election Day, Trump tweeted Monday morning: "Big Night In Texas!"

"We're not supposed to use that world. Democrats produce mobs, Republicans produce jobs".

Cruz added: "I look forward to campaigning alongside him in 2020". "You know, they have a word".

Trump promised he would come to Texas after the Senate race grew closer than expected, with O'Rourke out-fundraising Cruz and drawing large and enthusiastic crowds around the state.

Monday's event is something that would've seemed unlikely two years ago. O'Rourke said he had planned to be in the area before Trump's rally was announced and that it was a "happy coincidence".

The president said initially he thought Cruz's opponent O'Rourke "must be something a little special".
