Racist robocall targets Stacey Abrams, Oprah in Georgia governor's race

Winfrey has traveled to Georgia to campaign for Abrams, whose potential victory would make her the first African American woman to be governor in US history.

"I have this to say to you, black people with ancestors who never had the chance", Oprah said at the event.

"All of us may have been created equal, but if you're woke. you've got sense enough to know that everybody is not treated equally", she said. "I want to make it very clear ..."

Oprah also hosted two town halls with Abrams during her trip.

Ingraham called out Winfrey because she felt the speech is trying to tie the candidacy of Abrams' opponent, Brian Kemp, to the scourge of racism in our country.

"On Tuesday, you can vote for a politics that is decent, for a politics that is honest, for a politics that is lawful, for a politics that tries to do right by people", Obama said after a lengthy condemnation of the all-GOP government that has run Washington since Obama left office last January. "And to vote for myself", Winfrey said to cheers.

Synagogue shooting suspect pleads not guilty as victims funerals continue
Widowed a decade ago, Younger had a son and daughter in California, who waited all day on Saturday to learn if he had survived. The man accused of killing 11 Jewish worshippers at a Pittsburgh's Tree of Life synagogue has denied murdering them.

Winfrey's first dive into the political arena came in 2007, when she endorsed Barack Obama and campaigned for him in SC and other states. "You are disrespecting and disregarding their legacy, their suffering and their dreams when you don't vote".

On Thursday night, Laura Ingraham went after Oprah Winfrey for campaigning on behalf of Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D).

Though Oprah is playing it off like a grassroots campaign, her presence ejects much elitism into the political debate, being that she lives full time in a left-wing coastal haven. "I'm not here because I'm making some grandstand because I'm thinking of running myself". I heard Will Ferrell was going door-to-door the other day.

On "Outnumbered", Washington Post editor and Fox News contributor Charlie Hurt said Winfrey is an "entity unto herself", and her endorsement may carry some weight, but he believes Hollywood elites won't swing races for Democrats in next week's midterm elections.

At a separate appearance with Kemp Thursday morning, Pence mocked Abrams for receiving support from Winfrey and actor Will Ferrell on the campaign trail, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
