Masa Son finally condemns Khashoggi murder; will maintain business relationship with Saudis

The son, Salah Khashoggi, 35, said in an interview with CNN on Sunday that the Saudi ruler, King Salman, "has stressed that everybody involved will be brought to justice" for the murder.

The regional rivalry between Turkey and Saudi Arabia has captured the spotlight in the weeks since the killing of Khashoggi, a contributing columnist to The Washington Post. Per Turkish media, that was just a cover: The Sabah newspaper reports the chemist and toxicologist were actually tasked with ridding the consulate of any crime-scene evidence prior to Turkish authorities being given the OK to search the place on October 15.

Troops from a US -backed, Saudi-led coalition pounded Houthi rebel positions in Yemen's Hodeida with airstrikes and a ground assault on Wednesday and now control a major road leading into the city, military officials and witnesses on both sides of the front line said.

"Everybody's telling a different story".

"It's not a normal situation, it's not a normal death at all".

"Of course, the death of Jamal Khashoggi is beyond disturbing because the freedom and safety of the press is something that is incredibly important to me", he said. "And I have faith in that".

Saudi Arabia sent a two-man "clean-up team" to erase evidence of Khashoggi's murder a week after he disappeared at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, a Turkish official said on Monday.

I was waiting for Van Persie and Bergkamp - Klopp lauds Arsenal attack
Striking a frustrated tone, Klopp went on: "Actually it was a brilliant attack, it's what you do on the training ground". The progress takes time, a long time in football is very hard to demand.

"I talked about that with the Saudi authorities and I just hope that it happens soon", he said.

"We believe that the two individuals came to Turkey for the sole objective of covering up evidence of Jamal Khashoggi's murder before the Turkish police were allowed to search the premises", the official said.

Over the weekend, the murdered journalist's sons said they asked Saudi authorities to return their father's body so the family can properly grieve.

The report said they visited the consulate every day from their arrival on October 11 until October 17.

Salah, the elder sibling, said the two brothers were receiving updates on the parallel investigations into their father's killing through the media. "But at the same time, we have also accepted the responsibility to the people of Saudi Arabia - an obligation we take quite seriously - to help them manage their financial resources and diversify their economy", he said.

King Salman of Saudi Arabia was due to embark on an unusual tour of his country on Tuesday, as the kingdom's worldwide reputation continued to be buffered by the fallout from the killing of Jamal Khashoggi.

"We believe that the two individuals came to Turkey for the sole objective of covering up evidence", the official said.
