Microsoft Studios to acquire inXile Entertainment

The acquisitions of inXile and Obsidian brings Microsoft Studios' first-party stocks up to a distinct and diverse thirteen teams. Both InXile and Obsidian have been turning to Kickstarter and crowdfunding in recent times to get their projects off the ground, so Microsoft will be giving them the financial backing to really realise their visions. Wasteland is perhaps the big story for Microsoft Studios here, an IP which went on to heavily inspire the Fallout franchise, which InXile founder Brian Fargo helped shape.

Obsidian is also legendary for roleplaying games, but its titles tend to be a tad bit more action-oriented.

The deal to buy Wasteland 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenera developer inXile comes as more of a surprise. While Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was a commercial success, Microsoft has already acquired this studio. The studio just released Bard's Tale IV and, presumably, the upcoming Wasteland 3 will launch on Xbox One and Windows 10. Well, they're part of the Microsoft family today, as announced during the X018 stream. Over the last fifteen years, the studio has delivered genre-defining RPGs to players on both console and PC through titles including Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Pillars of Eternity.

Hathurusingha was not unhappy with Sri Lanka's positive intent, even when they were batting to save a Test. In his last Test match, Herath picked up three wickets to end career with 433 wickets in 93 Tests.

Obsidian Entertainment was founded in 2003 in Irvine, Calif.by industry veterans from Black Isle Studios, led by Feargus Urquhart.

With so many incredible studios under the helm, Microsoft certainly has a good chance of taking the console crown from Sony.
