SpaceX approved to send over 7,000 satellites into orbit

Elon Musk speaks at a technology summit in Dublin on Oct. 31 2013. On Nov. 15 2018 it was announced that the FCC approved for Musk's SpaceX to deploy over 7,000 satellites

The FCC approved SpaceX request for access to additional frequencies and to operate an additional 7,500 satellites at very low-Earth altitudes.

LeoSat Enterprises was established to leverage the latest developments in satellite communications technologies to develop and launch a new low-earth-orbit satellite constellation which will provide the first commercially available, business grade, extremely high-speed and secure data service worldwide. These 11,943 satellites will form the expansive Starlink broadband network, created to provide worldwide high speed internet access by ensuring that at least one satellite is always above the horizon for anyone on Earth, the Verge noted. Starlink will let the company provide a high-speed internet coverage to every corner of the world. SpaceX is expected to spend more than Dollars 10 Million for this project with the aim of having it operational by the mid-2020s.

Putting the system into operation is expected between 2023 and 2025, and the conclusion spacecraft into orbit company SpaceX will conduct with the help of rockets, the Falcon 9.

Elon Musk's SpaceX won permission to deploy more than 7,000 satellites, far more than all operating spacecraft now aloft, from US regulators who also moved to reduce a growing risk from space debris as skies grow more crowded. In November 2018, the FCC approved the requests of four companies-Space Exploration Holdings, LLC (SpaceX), Kepler Communications, Inc. One week later, the company did just that, sending the Microsat-2a and Microsat-2b Internet-beaming satellite prototypes into space alongside Spain's Paz Earth-observing satellite. With the success of the initial test, SpaceX would then deploy the first half of the 4,425 satellites in the Starlink constellation by 2024, and the remaining half by 2027.

Trump says nothing new in CSIS report on North Korean missile bases
Despite these assurances from the Trump administration that the talks will resume, experts remain skeptical. And in terms of optics, there has been a dramatic shift. "Otherwise, you're just satiating Kim Jong Un ".

When it comes to satellites in geostationary orbits, their end-of-life option is to go farther from Earth to a "graveyard orbit" 200 miles (300 kilometers) further away.

As a result of the space junk issue, the FCC asked SpaceX to submit debris mitigation plans. "For my part, I'm excited to see what services these companies will offer, and I'm glad we are clearing the way for more choices and more connections for Americans regardless of where they live". "Accordingly, we condition grant of the application on SpaceX presenting and the Commission granting a modification of this space station grant to include a final orbital debris mitigation plan". The company already has permission to launch 4425 Satellite. If the SpaceX is able to launch all the proposed satellites to space, the number will increase six-fold. On top of this, all the satellites should hit the orbit within nine years.

Starlink's novelty has inspired the Pentagon, too, which seeks to pioneer a generation of cheap, disposable, lightweight satellites through its Blackjack program, spearheaded by the Defense Department's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Sputnik reported.
