Benjamin Mendy: Manchester City defender faces three months out

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was formally warned by the Football Association on Wednesday over comments he made about referee Anthony Taylor before the Manchester derby.

The defending champions are yet to taste a defeat in the league this season and remain favourites to become the first club to defend the title since United achieved the feat in 2009.

However, midfielder Fellaini believes the gap between the two sides is not as big as the league table suggests.

Undefeated defending champions City now hold a two-point lead over a similarly unbeaten Liverpool, with Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea - who are also yet to suffer a defeat - a further two points behind in third spot.

However, Guardiola's side look determined to further improve on their hugely impressive previous campaign and have only dropped points in the Premier League in away matches against Wolves and Liverpool so far.

British Prime Minister May warns ousting her won't make Brexit talks easier
He added: "We must make it understood today that this deal which is now on the table is the best one possible". He said "Labour will not countenance a no-deal Brexit", which could cause upheaval for businesses and people.

"It is the only country that five or six (teams) can win the Premier League". We have a young squad, young players I have everything [including] good facilities. 'They are very confident - all of them - they play good football, they play attacking football and they have a good dynamic.

They club will follow up their Premier League match against West Ham with European showdown against Lyon on Tuesday to close out the month of November ahead of a December schedule that will see City play nine times.

"The important thing is to focus on our game and of course knowing which opponent we are going to face and that is all".

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss said: "I said many times that I extend the contract and I don't deny too if it is going well to stay more years here".
