50 injured in rebel poison gas attack

Rebel commander Abdel-Salam Abdel-Razak says the opposition doesn't possess poisonous gases or the capabilities to lob them.

Moscow, a key Damascus ally, accused insurgents on Sunday of bombarding Aleppo with shells filled with chlorine gas, poisoning 46 people, including eight children.

"Terrorist groups based in the province of Aleppo, has released the shells with toxic substances in the neighborhoods of al-Halden, Jamat AZ-Zahra street and al-Nile administrative center", - stated in the message. He said two people who were in critical condition have improved.

Russian Federation bombed Syrian rebels it accused of carrying out a chlorine attack the previous day, authorities confirmed on Sunday.

"The planes of Russia's Aerospace Defense Forces carried out strikes on the detected artillery positions of terrorists in the area, from where the shelling of Aleppo civilians with chemical munitions was conducted late" Saturday, Konashenkov said.

The deal to create the demilitarized zone staved off an army offensive against the Idlib region, including nearby parts of Aleppo and Hama provinces.

Naji Mustafa, the spokesman of National Front for Liberation, the largest umbrella military group in Idlib, said on Telegram that they rejected the claims by Assad regime, blaming the regime for covering up its massacres with such news.

Forensic Medicine General Director Zaher Hajo told The Associated Press Sunday that those wounded the night before were taken to two hospitals in Aleppo, Syria's largest city.

Regional head of health services, Ziad Hajj Taha, said it was a "probable" chlorine attack.

As many as nine people were killed and dozens injured in chlorine-filled shell attacks by militants in Aleppo on Saturday.

Benjamin Mendy: Manchester City defender faces three months out
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss said: "I said many times that I extend the contract and I don't deny too if it is going well to stay more years here".

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says 94 people were treated, with 31 remaining in hospitals.

"There was an exchange of views to the effect that. they could continue and that one needed to be ready for them", the ministry said in a statement.

Syrian state TV previously said that 21 people had been injured, but people continued to arrive at a hospital in Aleppo where state TV was airing live. There are no deaths, al-Shali said.

A ceasefire in Aleppo and Idlib has been fraying in recent days.

The Syrian government said that the Western-backed rebels resorted to chemical weapons to frame the Syrian government and draw in foreign intervention.

Both sides in the Syrian conflict have accused each other of carrying out chemical attacks, which are hard to corroborate in the absence of independent monitors.

On Sunday, Russian air raids hit a planned buffer zone on the edges of that stronghold, the Observatory and Moscow said.

State TV later said government troops retaliated, hitting the source of the attack.

The West has accused Damascus of using chemical weapons on several occasions, something Syria has consistently denied.
