Kansas City Chiefs star Kareem Hunt seen kicking woman in hotel video

Kareem Hunt

The Chiefs and the National Football League were aware of the incident after it occurred, but no disciplinary actions were ever taken against Hunt and he was not suspended. The team hasn't issued a statement about the matter, and it's not clear if Hunt will play on in the Chiefs' next game against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

In September, TMZ released video of the entire incident; the Ravens released Rice soon after that.

Abigail Ottinger, 19, of Middleburg Heights, told police that Hunt assaulted her around 3:45 a.m. Saturday outside Hunt's hotel apartment, but another woman who was with Hunt's friends said that Ottinger assaulted her, police reports say.

The incident happened in February.

Hunt is seen in the video arguing with a woman, shoving her and later kicking her as she crouched down. At one point, he can be seen pushing another man into her sending both of them to the floor and leaving the woman apparently fazed.

After being kicked out, one of Hunt's friends said that the woman started using racial slurs. Then, he shoves her. The police report said Ottinger suffered abrasions to her knee and hand and a scratch on her chest. Another woman who was with Hunt said he assaulted her.

No charges were filed from the altercation, though two police reports were created.

Several people try to contain Hunt, but he continues to go after the woman.

Hunt was asked about the incident back in August, but didn't have much to say. The event was reported by media at the time, however the tape was just released on Friday.

The Chiefs organization has yet to comment. "I'm sure he learned some lessons this off-season and hopefully won't be in those kind of situations in the future".
