Could Jurgen Klopp be having his past year at Liverpool?

Sigurdsson looking forward to derby day

Unbeaten Liverpool have made their best start to a Premier League campaign with 33 points from 13 games, yet still trail leaders City by two points.

However, the Reds have not set pulses racing as much as they did last season, when they got to the Champions League final and finished fourth in the EPL, but Klopp feels their new-found patience and pragmatism is paying off.

Liverpool's next goal will be the 350th scored under Klopp in all competitions.

"The thing is we have to win football games, but people compare a game against Watford with a game against AS Roma. It's football. We play well against great teams and I think it's big game this weekend and we do the same like always".

"I play every game the same".

The Reds need to beat PSG at the Parc des Princes tomorrow morning (Singapore time) to keep qualification for the last 16 in their own hands. Contrary to the cliché, the form book has rarely flown through the window, odds generally favouring Liverpool at Anfield, regardless of opposition.

That was helped with the additions of Virgil van Dijk in defence, and Alisson Becker in goal.

"That's where we'll need our squad players if we're going to be successful".

"It's going to be a hard game in Paris and a good game to show how good we are".

The Reds traveled to the French capital for their second Champions League fixture against Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain in order to try and strengthen their position in Group F. However, stunning performance from the home side ensured that the Parisians are still in with a very good chance to make it into the next round of the elite tournament.

Speaking ahead of his side's Premier League clash with Everton on Sunday, Klopp told Sky Sports: "A lot of teams saw that we were good at that and realised they were overplaying".

"But whatever happens, it will change nothing in terms of what we are doing".
