Captain Marvel: [Trailer] Want Some Crazy Superhero Space Action? - Yes Please!

Captain Marvel: [Trailer] Want Some Crazy Superhero Space Action? - Yes Please!

Yes, she's from Earth but she doesn't remember her life as U.S. Air Force fighter pilot Carol Danvers beyond mere flashes. Marvel was quick to confirm that a new Captain Marvel trailer was scheduled to premiere during Monday Night Football's halftime show, and we already saw the new clip.

The film is Marvel's first female-led adventure flick, with Larson taking on the role of Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers.

After the post-credits scene in Avengers: Infinity War, in which Nick Fury pages Captain Marvel in the last frame of the movie, it's thought that she'll be the might that will take on (and presumably vanquish) Thanos. In Marvel Comics, Carol Danvers, then known as Ms. Marvel, had a convoluted character arc, to say the least.

Annette Bening's casting in Captain Marvel was officially confirmed this week, and she even appeared in the new trailer for the film.

The Brie Larson version of Captain Marvel is on her way via a movie set to begin its worldwide release the week of March 8, 2019. The audience also finds out more clues about Captain Marvel's past in the trailer.

"Your life began the day it almost ended", she says. There, she explains to him about the intergalactic war between the Kree and the shape-shifting Skrulls, which leaves Earth stuck in the middle. After an accident, she was found by the Kree, an alien race, who fused her DNA with their own, making her the powerful titular superhero. I wonder what happened to her to place her with the Kree in the first place or give her powers?

Why it matters: "Captain Marvel" promises to be an important film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And, finally, the trailer offered a few sneak peeks into the story with Carol's apparent return to Earth in pursuit of some wayward Skrulls inspiring a search for her real identity.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who also contributed to writing the script, directs. She was indeed a Skrull, set to destroy Captain Marvel.

No easy remedy for US-China tensions
And if that were to happen, China would inevitably retaliate, as it already has for earlier US tariff announcements. There is little reason to be optimistic about the outcome of the dinner between Xi Jinping .and Donald Trump.
