Cops mourn loss of Krispy Kreme doughnut truck

The Lexington Police Department posted pictures of the truck with some very distraught-looking officers in front.

Police in Kentucky have posted a tweet mourning the loss of a doughnut truck, which was destroyed after catching fire.

The officers even drew well wishes from overseas, with authorities of New South Wales' Inner West Police Area Command writing in a Facebook comment, "Our hearts are breaking all the way from Sydney Australia!"

Crews were able to extinguish the fire shortly after, but the responding officers took the loss pretty hard.

No information about the crash was released by police, but a television station reported no one was injured and the truck was empty at the time of the fire.

Police captioned the photos, "No words". We may call a Donut a Gravy Ring here in Northern Ireland but we can still understand your pain.

"In this line of work, some things can't be unseen", he wrote.

The fire occurred near Man o' War Boulevard and Pink Pigeon Parkway causing lane closures.
