Juventus confirm interest in Ramsey

Juventus confirm Aaron Ramsey interest as sporting director labels Arsenal midfielder a 'great player'

Interestingly, the report claims that German global Sami Khedira could move the other way and arrive in north London at the end of the season; creating something of a midfield swap deal.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is reportedly yet to pen a pre-contract agreement with Juventus, despite strong interest from the Italian champions.

Arsenal have withdrawn their contract offer to the Welshman, leaving him free to negotiate with foreign clubs about a Bosman move at the end of the season.

His box-to-box qualities, and ability to create chances and stretch play, make him a unique proposition for opposition defences - and it's been no surprise to see him repeatedly making a big impact coming off the bench in recent games.

He's got six months left on his Arsenal contract.

A result that will see Arsenal suffer a loss of about £50m that Ramsey is present worth at the transfer market.

It now looks as though he will stay at the club, however, despite rumours that Unai Emery will not use him too regularly.

Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere and Lucas Perez all left the Emirates last summer but the signings of Bernd Leno, Sokratis, Matteo Guendouzi, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Torreira have all added to the club's wage bill.

Juventus have assumed pole position in the race for the player but are unlikely to be able to get him in black and white stripes until next season with Arsenal reluctant to allow him to leave.

"He is a great player, he is in a great team like Arsenal and he has played at high levels for many years", Paratici told Sky in Italy.

Youngster Emile Smith Rowe who has impressed in the Europa League and Carabao Cup remains sidelined by a hip problem.
