Maurizio Sarri makes stunning revelation about Chelsea's new signing Christian Pulisic

Chelsea

It was the second straight home match in which Chelsea failed to score.

Sarri's side initially started the season in fine form, scoring 27 goals in their opening 11 league matches as the Italian broke a Premier League record for the longest unbeaten start for a new manager.

The Premier League club have not been able to rely on their strikers for goals this season, as Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata have managed just six between them. We played a good match for 80 metres, then we were in trouble in the last 20 metres. "I think we need something else for our characteristics".

"We have to try to solve the problem of the last 15, 20 metres". "But it depends on the board, I think, not me".

Chelsea confirmed on Wednesday that they had reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over a €64million transfer for the United States worldwide.

Chelsea announced the £57 million signing of Christian Pulisic on Wednesday, though the U.S. global will not arrive from Borussia Dortmund until the summer, whilst the club have also been credited with an interest in AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuaín.

Chelsea, as expected, dominated possession and top-scorer Eden Hazard had the best chance of the first half but Gunn blocked the Belgian's point blank shot in the 34th minute.

However, while the Blues secured his signature, Sarri was as surprised as anyone at the move being completed, albeit club officials had asked for his assessment of the player.

Capping a forgettable game for Chelsea, Marcos Alonso had a strong penalty appeal turned down in the closing moments.
