Meghan’s first royal patronage revealed by mistake

The Queen held the roles at the National Theatre and Commonwealth Universities for 45 and 33 years respectively.

Despite the claims Meghan is feeling down, she and Harry are expecting their first child in spring.

The Queen passed on two patronages - the National Theatre and the ACU - to the Duchess. She recently paid a visit to the organization last month - which is just one of many as she begins her new role. "It's not just about donating your clothes and seeing where they land, but really being part of each other's success stories as women", she said.

Markle selected Mayhew, an animal welfare charity that works to better the lives of animals and people to better communities in London, and those overseas internationally.

The Duchess of Sussex has been made patron of the National Theatre as well as three other organisations.

The Association of Commonwealth universities network represents higher education across all 53 Commonwealth countries, which squares nicely with the memorable speech she delivered during her whirlwind royal stop in Fiji in October.

Describing her as a "quick learner" and "happy to take guidance" to adapt to her new life in the royal family, the insider explained that Meghan is a "different kind of boss than Kate".

Meghan's first sole royal patronages will champion education, women's employment and animal welfare.

The newlywed royal is now a patron of four organisations, Kensington Palace revealed in a press release on Thursday.

"It is a privilege to welcome The Duchess of Sussex as our new Patron".

A lot of work (and millions of dollars) went into making this the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's dream family home.

Meghan's preference for eco-friendly clothing has already earned her the title of "Green Princess", so it's little surprise she is bringing the Windsors into the 21 century with an environmentally conscious fit out in her new home. She has a background in TV and the arts, and has campaigned on gender inequality and animal rights throughout her life.

Speaking to Elle.com, a royal source close to the Sussexes described the reports as about Meghan being hard as "absolutely untrue".
