Anas' partner Ahmed Hussein-Suale shot dead

Master of disguise brings down high level criminals

Media organisations and journalists in Ghana on Thursday called for more protection and demanded the government fully investigate.

Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, has been questioned by the Police CID over Wednesday night's gruesome murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a key member of the private investigative firm, Tiger Eye PI.

After Mr. Hussein-Suale, Mr. Anas, and their colleagues exposed widespread corruption across Ghana's national soccer league earlier this year, Ghanaian President Nana Akfo-Addo summarily dissolved the Ghana Football Association.

In Agyapong's threats, he described Hussein-Suale as "very dangerous", encouraging viewers to "beat him" and reassuring them that "whatever happens, I'll pay". The Confederation of African Football, the continent's top soccer body, banned or suspended almost two dozen referees and officials because of Anas' team's work.

'We. are terribly devastated by the dastardly act but remain unshaken in our resolve to pursue nation-wreckers and make corruption a high-risk activity, ' said Anas.

Anas, who often appears with a beaded mask to disguise his face, said it was "sad news", in a video posted on his Twitter feed.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appointed to panel overseeing financial sector
A surprising new poll reported how many Americans believe that the 70 percent tax rate for the top income margin is a good idea. But the second vote will likely be akin to a rubber stamp now that the steering committee has already approved her membership.

When contacted, the Director General of the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr David Eklu confirmed that the police had interviewed Mr Agyapong. Rest in peace, Ahmed.

He was reportedly shot three times, twice in the chest and again in the neck by an unidentified man who was said to be riding a motorbike.

"That boy that's very risky, he lives here in Madina".

"I won't mention his name not because I can't, but he doesn't deserve me mentioning his name".

Meanwhile, the coalition for Whistleblowers Protection and Press Freedom (CWPPF) has condemned, in strong terms, the murder of the journalist.

The reporter, whose other exposes have lifted the lid on graft in the judicial system, is distinctive for wearing hats and face-coverings to hide his identity. Fourteen officials were exonerated.
