Chris Brown has been detained in Paris France according to police

According to judicial officials in Paris, Chris Brown and the two other men were arrested on "aggravated rape and drug infractions" and have been held in custody since Monday. Karima says she was also assaulted by one of Brown's friends and his bodyguard, both of who were arrested along with Brown. Brown is now in police custody, and in two days French prosecutors will decide whether to release him or if he'll face a judge.

The American recording artist has a history of violence, including a felony conviction for the 2009 assault on Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time. He completed probation in 2015. Not only, Chris, reports have it, one of his bodyguards is also detained by the Paris Police.

Two Paris officials spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity, saying they weren't authorized to discuss the investigation.

The incident is alleged to have occurred at the luxury Mandarin Oriental hotel on 15 January.

According to TMZ, Brown and some associates were released from a Paris jail on Tuesday (January 22). He is facing a third-degree felony of battery in Tampa, Florida.

Yahoo Entertainment has contacted Brown's legal representatives for comment. In a strongly worded Instagram post, the R&B singer rejected the accusation, saying that it was damaging to both himself and his young daughter, Royalty, who turns 5 in May. He is scheduled to be arraigned February 6 in Los Angeles.
