Huawei Units Plead Not Guilty to U.S. Trade Secret Theft

Federal prosecutors have accused Huawei of stealing details of a smartphone-testing robot called Tappy from the U.S. arm of T-Mobile, as well as violating USA sanctions against Iran.

Huawei Technologies Co. pleaded not guilty to US charges of trade-secret theft, a day before the company learns if Canada will start extradition proceedings for its chief financial officer in a pivotal week that could see diplomatic tensions flare.

Two equipment-manufacturing units of the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei pleaded not guilty in a United States court to theft of trade secrets and wire fraud charges, the Justice Department said in a press release.

Reuters reported on February 28th that the companies were "arraigned" and that a trial has been set for March 2nd, 2020. One user said that the video was a "good intention turned bad", because it would easily be perceived by the West as a piece of propaganda and add to worldwide mistrust of the company.

If found guilty, Huawei will be fined the greater amount of either $5 million, or three times the value of the stolen trade secret.

Huawei's also facing 13 charges in NY.

Sony Xperia 10 and 10 Plus review: Hands-on
The phone also supports high-resolution audio with LDAC, SmartAmplifier, Stereo Recording, and Qualcomm aptX HD audio. While that might seem like a marginal difference on paper, in the hand, the Xperia 10 Plus feels considerably larger.

T-Mobile had accused Huawei of stealing technology called "Tappy", which mimicked human fingers and was used to test smartphones.

Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies Co has said that it expects to win 5G network contracts in Germany, which would mark the latest vote of confidence from foreign telecom carriers despite security allegations the company faces in some overseas markets.

Bahrain, the leading telecommunications provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain, signed a nationwide 5G service launch Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei, the Chinese company said.

HUAWEI HAS PLEADED not guilty to several charges of fraud and theft of industrial secrets in a Seattle courtroom.

In the video, children in uniform white T-shirts with the Chinese characters of "China" written on them, sing: "We love our country, we love homegrown brand Huawei" and "China-made chips are the most valuable".

Huawei's chief financial officer, Sabrina Meng Wanzhou, was arrested in Canada and is facing possible extradition to the United States on charges that she violated American sanctions against Iran.
