Samsung Galaxy S10 Expected To Ship More Units Than Expected

After launching the Galaxy S10 series earlier this week, Samsung will soon bring the Galaxy Fold to the Indian market, news agency IANS reported quoting DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT and Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics.

We saw Huawei CEO taking a dig at the design language of Samsung's Galaxy Fold, he then called the Samsung's foldable device "not good".

The Samsung executive acknowledged that the Galaxy Fold doesn't have a "perfect close" when shut, owing to concerns that the tablet screen would be damaged.

If there's one thing for certain, 2019 will go down as the year of foldable smartphones. The display design would be siilar to the Mate X with inwards fold. While the former can be expected to be announced later this year or early next year, the latter will be released after that.

The Galaxy S10 series would hit the store shelves on March 8, when you'll be able to buy the devices from online and offline stores.

The outfolding device, which already exists as a prototype after being considered as Samsung's first foldable gadget, will roll out afterward, the people said.

The external folding device, however, will be thinner as it has no extra screen.

The case can be charged via a Qi-certified wireless charger or using the reverse charging feature on the Samsung Galaxy S10. It may feature a second external display, like the Galaxy Fold, depending on how customers respond to the Fold. Embedded directly beneath the screen is the in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner that reads the 3D contours of a physical thumbprint, for improved anti-spoofing, allowing the phone to be unlocked securely and intuitively. The launch of the device comes as the world's biggest phone maker tries to lure back consumers who have become used to incremental upgrades and are being wooed by Chinese manufacturers' lower-priced smartphones.

According to Bloomberg, Samsung is working on two different variants of the foldable smartphone other than its Galaxy Fold.
