Police said the Irish fighter, 30, was charged with felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanour criminal mischief.

The Dubliner allegedly smashed a fan's phone in an altercation.

According to the police report, McGregor slapped the phone out of the victim's hand before stomping on it and walking away with it.

The robbery was caught on surveillance cameras set up around the club and the nearby Fontainebleau Hotel.

As a result of the above-described incident, McGregor was booked in Miami-Dade County.

McGregor is the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion and was one of the biggest draws in MMA. Police spent the day investigating and later found him at a Miami Beach address.

Conor McGregor allegedly stomped on the phone and took it with him.

McGregor was released from custody after posting the $12,500 bond. The site published photos of McGregor after he left jail, wearing a T shirt that reads "When I say something's going to happen, it's going to happen". A year ago as UFC 223 approached, McGregor was arrested after New York City police said he "attacked a charter bus" that carried a plethora of UFC fighters and threw a dolly through a window, according to The Herald.

The Crumlin native is reportedly in Florida to celebrate his mother Margaret's 60th birthday and to prepare for his UFC comeback after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov of Russian Federation in October 2018.

Swiftly arrested for his violent actions, McGregor was later forced to take anger management classes and do five days of community service - which was only just recently completed.
