We Must Respect Manchester United - Former Barcelona Star

All-English Champions League clash is too close to call says Pep Guardiola

Tottenham will play Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals, while Manchester United have been drawn against Barcelona. The person who made the prediction is presumably a Tottenham fan, who sent out his predictions a day before the draw was even made.

City have won their last three games against Mauricio Pochettino's side but Guardiola is taking nothing for granted after Friday's draw, which also saw last year's beaten finalists Liverpool receive arguably the most favourable tie after being paired with Porto. The semi-finals start on 30 April and 1 May.

Speaking about Manchester United's tie with Barcelona, former Old Trafford boss David Moyes said: "It's an incredibly tough draw but a great draw".

"Should both clubs be drawn within the same sequence (home or away), the team having finished lower in the domestic league the previous season - in this case United - will be reversed in accordance with the UEFA Club Competitions Committee principles".

Many had high hopes for the Cottagers on their return to the Premier League, but while they've been decent going forward, their porous defence has cost them time-and-time again.

Spurs qualified for the quarter finals after beating Borussia Dortmund 4-0 over two legs.

"But I would do two matches between English teams, which would mean two teams would be in the semi-finals".

Solskjaer's side showed their strength and desire as they dug deep to produce a miraculous comeback at the Parc des Princes to beat Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the last 16.

Following on from the Champions League draw, both Arsenal and Chelsea have found out which teams they would face in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

17 April, second legs: Manchester City v Tottenham and Porto v Liverpool. Ajax won in 1973, the third of their four European titles, and Juventus won their second title in 1996.

Barcelona advanced with a 5-1 aggregate win over Lyon while Juventus recovered from a 2-0 deficit to see off Atletico Madrid thanks to a Ronaldo hat-trick in Turin.

Ajax, who knocked out Real Madrid in the last round, will host 2015 and 2017 runners-up Juventus.
