Mike Pompeo to visit Brussels today to discuss Iran

With ‘collusion’ dead it’s time to face the real Russian menace

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held talks with his counterparts on the sidelines of the summit.

The visit to Sochi will be Pompeo's first to Russian Federation as secretary of state.

Pompeo's trip to Russian Federation also comes as tensions simmer between the two countries over Iran.

Today, instead of Moscow, Pompeo will arrive in Brussels, where he will discuss the situation concerning Iran with European Union officials.

Tensions have been brewing between the USA and Iran, two nuclear-armed nations, with the Americans accusing the Middle Eastern power of preparing "imminent attacks to US interests in the region". The official would not be specific about any particular agreement Pompeo would push.
