Trump Signs Executive Order To Prevent Foreign Espionage Through Communication Networks

Donald Trump to issue order effectively blocking Huawei from US

Technology or services "designed, developed, manufactured or supplied" by companies subject to the jurisdiction of USA rivals, "augments the ability of foreign adversaries to create and exploit vulnerabilities in information and communications technology and services, with potentially catastrophic effects", the order says.

Clearly, the country is having a trust issue with the Chinese-based company's 5G infrastructure, and as a result of which a ban was imposed on Huawei.

Many U.S. allies are under pressure to not use Huawei equipment because of spying allegations.

The main USA wireless carriers have vowed not to use Huawei equipment in their 5G networks, but rural providers have relied on the company's low-priced equipment and warned of the potential impact of a ban.

The order does not specifically name any country or company, but USA officials have previously labelled Huawei a "threat".

"Having said that, of course, what matters for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation is that these decisions are made in a way that makes sure that they have secure networks", Stoltenberg said.

She also wrote the phrase "dislike" under a post on the show's official Instagram page announcing the renewal. Wu has denied that the renewal of " Fresh Off the Boat " caused her to be upset on social media. "Thank you.

The Commerce Department's move to put Huawei on its "Entity List" means US companies will need a special license to sell products to the Chinese company. But it appears to target Chinese tech giant Huawei, the world's biggest supplier of network gear used by phone and internet companies.

President Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order to bar USA companies from using telecommunications firms deemed a national security risk, a move targeted at both present and future liabilities but one that is poised to affect China's Huawei Tech. Huawei has denied the allegations.

"Protecting America's communications networks is vital to our national, economic, and personal security", Pai said. The governments of Germany and France are among those not heeding US warnings. Huawei is suing the us government to overturn the ban. In January 2018, US carriers shunned Huawei's newly-launched flagship, the Mate 10 Pro. Huawei has said its work does not pose any threat.

Trump's action comes just days after US-China trade talks broke down without a deal, and the US placed into effect a tariff increase on billions of dollars' worth of Chinese imports.

While the big USA wireless companies have already cut ties with Huawei, an estimated one quarter of small rural carriers continue to rely on both Huawei and ZTE switches because they tend to be cheaper.
