Hazard officially completes move to Dortmund

Christian Pulisic signed for Chelsea in January

Thorgan Hazard has always been Borussia Dortmund's number one choice to replace Christian Pulisic, who joined Chelsea for 64 million euros in January.

Having already confirmed the arrival of Germany left-back Nico Schulz from Hoffenheim, BVB have now announced the signing of Belgium worldwide Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Monchengladbach for a reported fee of €25 million (R401 million).

It's not a great surprise that interest in Hazard was high after another season impressing in the Bundesliga, while Gladbach were also under pressure to sell as he entered the final year on his deal with them.

Explaining his decision to join BVB, he said: "I am a person who sometimes decides things from the gut, and for whom a good feeling is important".

Borussia Dortmund pulled off a transfer coup on Wednesday, snatching gifted global midfielder Julian Brandt from the grasp of Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

"Now was exactly the right point in time to take the next step in my career".

Police have not released the name of the suspect but said he is a 51-year-old male who is not related to Salem. According to police, the mother tried to jump into the vehicle to get her daughter, but she was pushed out.

Thorgan Hazard will bring plenty of pace, directness, versatility and Bundesliga experience to this Borussia Dortmund squad.

The 26-year-old represented his former club on 182 occasions, scoring 46 goals and assisting a further 44 strikes.

Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc says Brandt is an ideal signing, "at 23 years of age he's still a young player with lots of potential for development".

Brandt and Hazard are joined at Dortmund by Schulz, a full-back who is beginning to establish himself as a first choice worldwide, and arrives from Hoffenheim in a deal worth 27 million euros.

"I am very motivated and optimistic about my personal development but especially the whole team".
