President Trump: Once Democrats finish fake investigations, we can start real work

Trump hits back at Democratic claims of 'cover-up'

US President Donald Trump cut short a scheduled meeting with top Democrats on infrastructure and announced that he wouldn't attempt any further bipartisanship until the congressional investigations in the aftermath of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation report conclude. He also accused Democrats of holding a meeting the same morning to discuss what he called "the I word" - impeachment.

But by Thursday, the White House's talking points turned to blaming Democrats for the apparent impasse on one of the few issues that have broad bipartisan public support.

Trump ordering former White House lawyer Don McGahn not to appear before Congress, and McGahn not showing up, is just the latest example of House Democrats appearing to beg Big Daddy Trump for candy, just so he can slap their hands and say, "No Children!"

The reasons House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic leadership have thus far put politics above principle, and oppose commencing impeachment hearings, is their (mistaken) belief that it will help Trump win reelection. He said the most important thing now is to get Special Counsel Robert Mueller to testify to Congress "so that the American people have an understanding of exactly what his report found".

In fact, the Democratic-controlled House has passed several bills on issues including firearms background checks, prescription drugs and campaign finance reforms - though they are dead on arrival in the GOP-controlled Senate.

The tension at Wednesday's failed meeting between President Donald Trump and top Democrats didn't end when he abruptly left the room.

The president then appeared in the Rose Garden to make a surprise statement, condemning "phoney investigations" by Democrats. "That's the nature of our Constitution", he said.

He instructed aides to begin preparing the Rose Garden for his event. On Wednesday, Trump stalked out of a meeting with Democrats that had been set up to talk about how to pay for a $2 trillion package to fix the nation's roads and bridges.

In a ruling on May 22, U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos, who was appointed by President Barack Obama, said that Trump and his company's argument that the subpoenas were unlawful and unconstitutional would unlikely succeed and that the subpoenas have "a legitimate legislative goal".

The in-game news feed has more or less confirmed that a new Tactical Assault Rifle will be released with today's new update . Like it or not, the Tactical Assault Rifle reminds of Week's arsenal, and it's a resemblance to his weapon in the movie.

The exchanges followed a day of particularly personal conflict between Trump and Pelosi, who reclaimed the post second in line to the presidency after the 2018 midterm elections. She treats everybody like they're her staff. I'd be really good at that - that's what I do. You can't do it under these circumstances. "Get these phony investigations over with".

Two hours earlier, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had claimed the White House wanted to see Trump's replacement NAFTA deal passed first, before claiming Democrats have no infrastructure plan of their own.

Wednesday's meeting was supposed to be about ironing out the thorny details of how to pay for it all.

Ms Pelosi told a CAPS Ideas conference: "He walked away. And I pray for the United States of America".

She depicted Mr Trump's behaviour as "villainous", citing his rejecting of subpoenas, withholding documents and blocking testimony by current and ex-advisers.

Most of his fellow Republicans dismiss the investigations as political assaults ahead of the 2020 election. He added, "You can't investigate and legislate at the same time".

US District Judge Edgardo Ramos ruled in NY that Congress has the legal authority to demand the records.

Twice this week, federal judges have upheld congressional subpoenas for his records, at an accounting firm that handled some of his financial transactions and from Deutsche Bank, his primary lender for two decades, and Capital One Bank, where he keeps some of his money.
