China accuses U.S. of plot to 'colonise global business' by targeting Huawei

Device-makers and telco providers around the world are already delaying or canceling Huawei device launches amid questions about supply-chain issues stemming from the "entity list" ban, be it losing access to ARM and Qualcomm chips or shipping phones that can't run Google's up-to-date Android software.

Asked about its opinion about the news, Huawei pointed to a statement on Panasonic's Chinese Web site that said the firm was supplying Huawei "normally" and doing so "strictly abiding by the relevant laws and regulations of countries and regions where Panasonic is present".

Worldwide, Huawei is now the the second-largest smartphone vendor after Samsung.

Lu said United States politicians have spread rumours about Huawei without providing evidence.

Taiwan Mobile said it would not sell the latest Huawei phones, because they are not compatible with Google apps.

The country's biggest carrier, NTT Docomo, also announced it was suspending pre-orders for a new Huawei handset, but stopped short of halting the release itself.

Following the U.S. ban on Huawei last week, more companies are cutting ties with the Chinese smartphone giant.

On a related topic, all Huawei phones have also been removed from the official Android.com site. If this continues, it could become a serious problem for Huawei.

The Trump administration eased the restrictions earlier this week, granting Huawei a license to buy United States goods until August 19th.

The US government's Huawei import ban delivered a massive blow to the most important Chinese smartphone vendor.

Japanese conglomerate Panasonic Corp. joined a growing list of global companies which have said they are disengaging from Huawei Technologies Co.

In the ongoing trade battle between China and the United States, Huawei was blacklisted by the U.S. government, forcing USA companies to stop doing business with the company.

Meanwhile, the British firm ARM, which designs processors used in most mobile devices, is also said to be set to suspend ties with Huawei. "We are confident this regrettable situation can be resolved, and our priority remains to continue to deliver world-class technology and products to our customers around the world". So its possible that Huawei even would be included in some kind of trade deal.

British mobile operators EE and Vodafone both said on Wednesday they had dropped Huawei smartphones from the imminent launch range of their 5G networks.
