The New York couple, identified as A.P. and Y.Z., also filed a lawsuit against CHA Fertility Center on July 1, 2019, after a DNA test found that the two baby boys A.P. gave birth to were not a genetic match to the couple or to each other, CNN reported.

The Manukyans said they will be eternally grateful for the woman who carried their son and cared for him in the first few weeks of his life, even knowing he was not her own, but that this should never happen to another family again.

A California couple who says their embryo was implanted into a NY woman in an allegedly botched in vitro fertilization procedure sued their Los Angeles-based fertility clinic on Wednesday, the second lawsuit in the case.

Anni Manukyan says she didn't learn about what happened until a DNA test, also explaining that there was an enormous emotional toll.

The couple said they spent more than $100,000 on treatment and other expenses at CHA Fertility Center, according to a lawsuit.

The lady gave birth to twins in March, correct for DNA tests to allegedly deliver the babies had been now not related to her and even to every varied.

Fertility clinics are "different on many levels: the medical protocols they deploy, levels of individual attention they provide, biases around single and multiple embryo transfer, lab quality, price, nature of the clinicians, and overall competency", according to FertilityIQ, a website that collects data and reviews from patients about their experiences at fertility clinics. Also, the second baby belonging to an unnamed couple has been given to them.

Anni Manukyan herself was unsuccessfully impregnated twice and understands now that at least one of those embryos was not hers. According to their lawsuit, however, CHA allegedly wanted the DNA swab to confirm if a baby born to a NY woman actually belonged to the Manukyans.

An attorney for the couple, Adam Wolf, said Wednesday the three-family mixup was one of the worst fertility centre tragedies in United States history.

President Trump to issue executive order about citizenship question on 2020 census
White House and Justice Department officials spent the Independence Day holiday considering ways to include the question. The announcement, he said, will be focused on the census and citizenship. "We're aiming to count everyone", he said.

"As a doctor and person, you just feel awful for everyone involved", he said.

Anni and Ashot Manukyan have spoken out about the twist in IVF mix-up.

They first saw him at 6 weeks old.

The New York woman, who has not been named, gave birth to twins who were not related to her or to each other, the complaint says.

Anni revealed in video shared by their lawyers Peiffer Wolf Carr Kane on YouTube, that it only emerged that Alec had been born after they were asked to come into the centre for cheek swabs on April 11, which at the time was passed off as a routine procedure. "It was heartbreaking. It was bad", she sobbed.

"My baby boy, who wants to meet their child in a lobby of a hotel?" she said.

Wolf, the couple's lawyer, said the Manukyans were seeking emotional and punitive damages as well as court costs in their fight for their infant son in NY and payments made to CHA. "We can never forgive CHA. This is something that they will live with for the rest of their lives".

"CHA put my family through living hell". We were helpless. It was bad.

Yumi Lee, the center's COO, did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.
