Half of New Fox Movies Could Go Straight to Disney+ or Hulu

Star Wars Galaxys edge

Video streaming competition will intensify soon, with Apple, AT&T's WarnerMedia's HBO Max and Comcast Corp's NBCUniversal planning to roll out new services.

Speaking of Disney's streaming service, Disney revealed they will be offering an incredible discount price for those bundling its three premium services: Disney+, Hulu and ESPN. But because Hulu and ESPN Plus cost about $6 and $5 per month, respectively, the bundle of three services represents a $5 monthly savings. "What's more, our recent global State of Digital Lifestyles study also revealed streaming is cross-generational with big majorities of all ages from 18 year olds (70 per cent) to the over 60s (63 per cent) saying they stream movies and TV rather than play a DVD or download content". Netflix's premium plan is $15.99 per month, while its most popular plan is $12.99 per month. The bundle will be available in November when Disney+ is slated to launch, and it will cost $13 a month. Expect Netflix to be feeling even more pressure right after it reported its first drop in US subscribers in a decade.

For about $8 a month, potential consumers would have access to almost all things Disney, including widely popular content from Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars.

Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger had said he didn't even need to advertise the new attraction, since anticipation among Star Wars fans was so high.

According to Disney, attendance at the company's domestic parks was down 3 percent in the third quarter, although "per capita spending" was up 10 percent and occupancy at on-site hotels rose two percentage points.

New England Patriots Finalizing Contract Extension With Tom Brady
According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter , Brady will become the NFL's sixth highest-paid quarterback this season. Before the new contract was agreed to, Brady was scheduled to make $15 million and carry a $27 million cap hit in 2019.

Its biggest digital bet, a family-friendly subscription service called Disney+, is scheduled to debut in November.

It was also just announced the Disney+ will be rebooting "Home Alone". The library will grow to 400 titles during Disney+'s first year. Hulu and ESPN will fill the gaps that aren't covered by the Disney+ service, offering content from other companies like Viacom (Comedy Central, etc) and streaming sports.

If Netflix is feeling the pressure from Disney, imagine what WarnerMedia and AT&T must be going through after today's announcement.

A screen shows the logo and a ticker symbol for the Walt Disney Company on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in New York, U.S., December 14, 2017. "Nothing is more important to us than getting this right", he said of Disney's aggressive move into direct-to-consumer streaming.
