Leicester hit back to deny Lampard first win

Frank Lampard fell just short of winning silverware in just his second match in charge of Chelsea

Ndidi's early error led to Mason Mount scoring on his home debut, but the Nigerian later hauled Leicester level with a powerful header.

Lampard threw caution to the wind late in the game as he searched for the first victory of his Chelsea managerial career but substitutes Tammy Abraham, Mateo Kovacic and the particularly terrible Willian failed to conjure any significant chances.

Kasper Schmeichel will start in goal for the Foxes on Sunday against Chelsea.

The 20-year-old is a player Lampard has put so much faith in, having also taken him on loan at Derby last season.

"It's a results business", Lampard said.

Medical examiner rules on Jeffrey Epstein's prison death
The second staff member on Epstein duty, a woman, was a fully trained guard, according to the person briefed on the matter. Two staffers have been placed on administrative leave and the MCC's warden has been reassigned pending an investigation.

We could maybe see James Maddison move into a central area from the left side, although it seems unlikely that Rodgers would want to lose the midfield battle against the trio of N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic which might stand in the way of any possible start for Marc Albrighton or Harvey Barnes. Lampard got his first point in his Chelsea reign and would have been disappointed to have not gone away with more after the first-half performance.

He could not pick out a team-mate after rounding goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and then flashed a ball across goal that was begging to be knocked in.

There was little surprise that Maddison was involved in Leicester's equaliser midway through the second half.

The zippy passing which defined Chelsea's opening 25 minutes was no longer going to feet, as Leicester coach Brendan Rodgers instructed his midfield to drift wider to create more space in the middle for Maddison and the always unsafe Vardy.
