UK Labour leader warns about 'Trump Deal Brexit'

French President Emmanuel Macron left talks to Britain's Prime Minister Boris Johnson during their meeting at the Elysee Palace Thursday Aug. 22 2019 in Paris. Boris Johnson traveled to Berlin Wednesday to meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel befo

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage on Tuesday urged Prime Minister Boris Johnson to lead Britain out of the European Union without a divorce deal in place, threatening to fight his party "in every seat" in the next general election if he failed to do so. Efforts to salvage consensus among the G-7 rich democracies frayed Saturday in the face of U.S. President Donald Trump's unpredictable America-first approach even before the official start of the summit in southern France.

"That's why the Labour Party will do everything necessary to stop a no-deal bankers' Brexit", Corbyn wrote.

The leaders of Labour, the SNP, the Liberal Democrats, Plaid Cymru, the Green Party and the Independent Group for Change have also agreed to meet again to discuss how to stop the United Kingdom leaving the European Union without a deal on October 31st.

Also on Sunday, Johnson will meet European Council President Donald Tusk, who earlier this week refused the former's proposal to scrap the backstop plan for the Irish border.

The backstop provision, strongly opposed by Johnson's government and Brexit supporters, is meant to guarantee that border checks will not return between Ireland, an European Union member, and Britain's Northern Ireland.

Johnson's sherpa is David Frost, who took over from May's chief Brexit negotiator, Ollie Robbins, who was repeatedly accused by some Brexiters of being too accommodating to other European countries.

The president also praised new British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Brexit during their working breakfast on the second day of the summit.

Jurgen Klopp drops hint about long-term Liverpool FC future
Jurgen Klopp has suggested that he could "take a break" a break from football once his Liverpool contract expires. In the summer of 2022, the German might just find time to do so, much to Liverpool's dismay.

Trump and Johnson met on the side-lines of the Group of Seven (G7) summit hosted by France in Biarritz. If we could get something similar and if this thing would not be called a backstop - we could have success.

A year-long trade war between the United States and China, the world's two largest economies, has roiled financial markets and shaken the global economy.

Instead, the party referred to comments made by its shadow global trade secretary, Barry Gardiner, who on Sunday described Ms Swinson as "extremely petulant" for dismissing Mr Corbyn's initial proposal to lead a temporary government.

Mr Corbyn is expected to launch a vote of confidence in Mr Johnson's government, which has a majority of just one, in the coming weeks in the hope to force a general election.

"I think we are less likely to win that vote of no confidence if there is the prospect of Jeremy Corbyn becoming prime minister", she said.

Parliament returns from its summer break on September 3.

A day earlier, opposition lawmakers declared that they would work together to try to stop a departure from the European Union without an agreement, setting up a legislative challenge to Johnson and his promise to complete the divorce by October 31, come what may.
