Hezbollah: Shooting down of Israel drone strengthens deterrent

IDF confirms its drone crashed in Lebanon during reconnaissance mission

"We will respond in an appropriate and proportionate manner and there will no red lines at all", Hizbullah's leader warned.

An official with an Iranian-backed militia in Iraq also blamed Israel for the airstrikes that hit in the eastern Syrian town of Boukamal early Monday.

"I wasn't anxious or afraid because I knew that the resistance would respond in kind to any Israeli attack, and the Israelis know that".

"You are a Hollywood Army and we learned a lesson from the show you performed", Nasrallah said in a speech to mark the Muslim holiday of Ashura. "It will be a war against the entire axis of resistance", Nasrallah said, according to Press TV. "The leader of this camp is [Iranian Supreme Leader Ali] Khamenei and its center is Iran".

Hezbollah mentioned Monday it had shot down an "Israeli drone" because it crossed the border into Lebanon, every week after a flash confrontation between the arch-foes.

The leader of Lebanon's militant Hezbollah group, Hassan Nasrallah, says a USA official visiting Beirut to mediate between Lebanon and Israel over a maritime border dispute is a "friend of Israel". It didn't say why the drone crashed, but stated: "there is no concern information could be taken from it".

House Judiciary Democrats Set Up New Impeachment Procedures
More than half of the Democratic caucus has come out in favor of opening an impeachment inquiry. We're investigating as we have been, and we are litigating".

Nasrallah said their attack had marked the first such Hezbollah operation in a long time targeting Israel in positions across the border, not in the Israeli-occupied Shebaa farms.

Iran-backed Hezbollah, considered a terrorist organisation by Israel and the United States, is a major political actor in Lebanon and a key government backer in war-torn Syria.

Hizbullah said the missile attack was retaliation for an Israeli airstrike near Damascus last month that killed two of its members.

Wednesday, August 28:The Lebanese army said it fired at two of three Israeli drones in southern Lebanon after they violated Lebanese airspace.

Israel said it had faked soldier casualties to dampen any inclination of Hezbollah to escalate hostilities.
