Shocking moment a large deer bursts through the window of a salon

When you go to get a haircut on a fall Saturday, the last thing you're expecting is a deer crashing through the salon window, but that's precisely what happened at a salon on Long Island, New York.

Video posted by the salon's Facebook page shows the 6-point buck running across traffic and crashing into the large plate glass window that faces the street, sending shards of glass flying across the shop. "I just couldn't believe it was happening", she said.

The deer jumped over a couch, hitting a woman who was sitting down.

The owner said she initially thought a vehicle had crashed into the building. She did have to clean up deer blood from the floor.

Afghanistan Taliban commanders freed 'in swap for Indian hostages'
The development comes days after United States special envoy to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad met Taliban in Pakistan. The U.S. insisted Khalilzad was not in Pakistan to restart U.S. -Taliban peace talks _ at least not yet.

The deer then pushes open the door with its head and makes it way back into the wild with a flat iron attached to its antler. Her injuries were non-life threatening.

The woman on the couch who was grazed by the deer was taken to the hospital with minor leg and neck pains.

Heredia says that in her year and a half at the salon, it's the first time a wild animal has come in. The animal has not been seen since it ran off - with the cord of a hair straightener tangled around it.
