One of multiple shooting victims is loaded into a coroner's van following a shooting at Tequila KC Bar, Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, in Kansas City, Kan.

Hours after police released surveillance images of the suspected gunmen, police announced that one person had been taken into custody across the state line.

In addition to Kansas City, Kansas, Police, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms responded to the scene.

In a briefing Sunday morning, police said all four of the dead were Hispanic - one in their late 50s, one in their mid 30s and two in their mid 20s, according to KSHB. "These are - even though they're drastic, and even though they're painful - they are isolated events that do not reflect the bulk of the community", he said, adding later, "we will see you all on Central".

The last major bar shooting in the US was in early August, when nine people were killed and 27 were wounded in Dayton, Ohio.

"Upon arrival, we located a total of nine people that had been shot".

The shooting may have stemmed from an argument that occurred inside the bar hours earlier, Tomasic said.

Both have been charged with four counts of murder in the first degree and their bonds have been set at $1 million each, the release said.

United States stocks end sharply lower on deepening economic fears
Declining issues outnumbered advancing ones on the NYSE by a 2.76-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 3.29-to-1 ratio favoured decliners. The S&P 500 jumped Monday and will now enter the fourth quarter with its biggest year-to-date gain in more than two decades.

Local police said in a tweet that five other people were wounded during the incident, but did not specify the venue where it had taken place.

Sunday's shooting was the city's deadliest in recent years.

The 5 people injured in the shooting were transported to a hospital where they are now in stable condition, Tomasic told the outlet, adding that those who were fatally shot died in the bar.

Police said someone entered the bar and opened fire.

David Alvey, the mayor of Kansas City, spoke to reporters on Sunday and said his prayers were with the victims. Trevino said he pushed her aside as the shooting began.

"We're just in shock and disbelief", Ramirez told the Star.

"I don't feel like I'm ever going to be the same after seeing something like that", Trevino said. Guests generally know each other and their families.

In a statement released by her office after the shooting, Kelly said, "I continue to be frustrated that these mass shootings and killings occur with regular frequency".
