Climate activist climbs on top of plane during protests at London airport

Extinction Rebellion protests

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton on Friday resumed his attack on activists protesting under the Extinction Rebellion banner, branding them "radicals" and "outliers".

"I'm on top of a f-king airplane at City Airport!" he said in the video.

In London, a climate change activist scaled a British Airways plane at London City Airport.

The visually impaired Olympic Paralympian turned Extinction Rebellion protester has sparked chaos after he was able to climb on top of a plane and glue himself to it. As part of their disruptive actions, a man on board an Aer Lingus plane bound for Dublin refused to sit as the flight prepared to take off, resulting in the plane being grounded while the crew waited for police to remove him.

The Aer Lingus flight to Dublin was getting ready to leave London City Airport on Thursday when a passenger stood up to deliver a message, bringing the so-called flight-shame movement directly to travelers.

However, despite the scene on board the flight and scores of activists blocking the way for passengers at the airport's main entrance, staff clime flights are operating as normal.

'We can't carry on with life, with business as usual, ' she said.

Claire said she had not made up her mind about whether she would allow herself to be arrested, but was later led away by police officers.

Joe Biden Calls For Trump Impeachment 'To Preserve Our Constitution'
Elizabeth Warren continues to rise in the polls as Biden's big polling lead in the Democrat field continues to fall. Biden had previously used caveats when discussing whether Trump's behavior merited impeachment.

On Thursday, 18,000 passengers were due to arrive or depart from the airport, with 286 flights scheduled.

"A number of protesters remain outside the front of the airport terminal and we are working hard with the Metropolitan Police to minimise disruption to passengers".

The environmental protests have been taking place in cities around the world.

Cars and buses were backed up in both directions before the demonstrators were cleared from the roads by police.

"Any assembly linked to the Extinction Rebellion "Autumn Uprising" and those linked to it who wish to continue their assembly MUST go Trafalgar Square and only assemble in the pedestrian area", the police statement said.

Hundreds of young people gathered on September 20 at Prague's Old Town Square and in many other Czech towns joining the worldwide climate change protests launched by the Swedish activist Greta Thunberg.

London police reported making 800 arrests in the first three days of protests that included campaigners gluing themselves to the pavement and chaining themselves to cars.
